Joint Pain

Swelling around the left hand small finger joint & pain at the base of thumb?

Dear all, I have a swelling around the joint of my left hand small finger and also pain at the base of the thumb. This has substantially reduced my power of turning, pulling etc using the left hand.I have general painful feeling in both the hands especially in the morning. I am 47 year old male. Any explanations for this condition and possible remedies ? Thanks in advance. KTV

  1. I have arthritis, and this sounds like the symptoms I have sometimes, especially when I wake up. You should see your doctor or herbalist for help. Dietary changes can help significantly for arthritis. I can't recommend any medications because I don't take them - personal preference. One thing that helps me with my arthritis, cts, and a recurring ganglion cyst in my wrist is called Topricin. It doesn't have side-effects and is safe as heck. I love this stuff, because it helps my hands and my knees so much. I'm only 27 so I don't want to be held back with pain! Look up Topricin at bizrate.com and you should be able to find decent price for it. Also, lowering your blood acidity (diet) and taking omega oils can really help. See your herbalist or local health-food shop owner for some advice specific for you! Feel better. :)
  2. That Sounds Alot Like Arthritis To Me.... My Mother In Law Was having Alot of the Same Problems and She Found Out that She Had Arthritis. She Was Using Osteo Bi-Flex (which you Can get at Local Drug Store like Walgreen's, Walmart and Kroger) for Awhile But All it Was Doing was Taking the Edge off the Pain and Made Her Joints A Little Bit Better so She Saw a Doctor and They Prescribed Her Some Prescriptions for the Pain and a Prescription to Make Her Joints Move Better. Unfortunately there is No Way To Cure Arthritis but there are Alot of Pain Medicine and Joint Medicine that you can Either Get Over the Counter or form your Doctor. I Would Suggest Going to See a Doctor So that you can find out if that is what you have and if so They Can Tell you how Serious it is and what You should Take For It. I am going to Give You a Few Websites You Can Go to to Read up on Arthritis and What Helps. http://www.arthritis.org/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthritis http://arthritis.webmd.com/ http://www.walgreens.com/search/search_results.jsp?_dyncharset=ASCII&term=Arthritis I Hope This Helps and Good Luck With Everything!!!
