Has anyone experienced outside finger joint and wrist pain while pregnant?
I am 37 weeks pregnant and have been suffering from joint pain on the outside of my middle and ring fingers, as well as down the outside of my thumb into my wrist. Any thoughts on what this might be?

- It is very common for a woman to experience carpal tunnel syndrome during pregnancy. It may or may not subside after you deliver. It may go away completely or you may continue to experience minor discomfort.
- You are actually more prone to having carpal tunnel while pregnant, I would look into it some and ask the doctor about it at your next appointment.
- By the end of my pregnancy, every part of my body was aching. I, too, had joint pain in my hands. I have bad joints anyway, but it was much worse then. I feel that it was just that my body had so much going on that everything was stressed. It went away right after the birth, so I would just say ice it if it gets really bad. You are almost at the end, so it shouldn't last much longer. Congrats! And good luck!
- The joints in my hands were always sore while I was pregnant, it felt like I had arthritis. My doctor said it was due to water retention and swelling, and that it was normal.
- i have had this in my wrist and fingers as well as my ankles... i havent gotten any swelling thankfully just pains. it keeps me awake at night.
