Joint Pain

Does arthritis pain really change with the weather?

Also, I'm 32. My hands & wrists hurt all the time. I've been tested for random & horrible diseases, with no positive results thank goodness. Am I too young to have arthritis?

  1. My arthritis pain gets worse when the weather changes. Have you ever injured your wrists before? Maybe try using a gel pad on your keyboard and mouse to relax your wrists more.
  2. no you are not too young. i am 16 and i have arthritis in my wrists from years of gymnastics yes arthritis pain gets worse when it is cold out side.
  3. I'm 33 and have had arthritis since 17 from sports injuries. Mine acts up with the weather........I can tell that it is going to rain because I get more achy and less mobile. Ben Gay has been my perfume for a long time. Really gets the guys to come runnin'!!
  4. Misty, I wish I could talk to you in person. I have spinal stenosis and an arthritic spine. I was totally embarrassed this afternoon while helping a neighbor replace his disc brake pads on his Cadillac. I literally had to crawl around on my hands and knees because I'm so stiff and weak. You are absolutely correct concerning weather and arthritis. Three weeks ago I was on Morphine as my back and right leg felt like I was in a vice. Pressure and pain was telling me life wasn't worth it. Were you tested for carpal tunnel syndrome? I'm a patient of a neurosurgeon who repaired two nurses cervical spines in my wife's office. The two woman had cervical spine fusions which started with arm and hand pain and numbness. Please see a neurologist or the best neurosurgeon in your area. If you live near Up State NY. e-mail me and I'll give you his name and location.

  7. I'm 27. I've had arthritis since I was 15. It does actually change with weather. Alot of injuries are like that too. Something to with blood circulation and nerves. I also have nerve damage in the right side of my hip from an old football injury. It reacts to coldness and dampness in the air.
