4. depends on the type of arthritis,that is to say if it is osteoarthritis/degeneratory or inflammatory arthritis. in osteoarthritis any NSAIDS will relieve pain and in rheumatoid arthritis drugs vary from simple painkillers to gold therapy and anti cancer drugs. pain can also be relieved by alternative medicine such as physiotherapy,heat application,controlled physical activity, hydrotherapy.
