How do I differentiate bone pain from muscle pain in a chronic pain situation in my feet?
I have had chronic pain in my feet since I can remember. I have had bone reconstruction surgery to lower the arch in my foot in the hopes that it would relieve some of the pain. It did not work. If I cut the circulation off to one of my feet and go numb, and that stops the pain - does that mean it was muscle or the bone that was the cause of the pain? In otherwords - if I go numb, and the pain stops does that tell me anything about the source of the pain?

- Man! don't do that! Try to find a good reflexologist! In the meantime, massage all the points in the middle finger of your left hand (using the thumb and index of your right hand). Do this until you find the pains or tiny crystals in that middle finger of yours on the left hand! You see three separate points on every finger and maybe only two on the thumbs but there's still three! on each finger... one by the nails, one in the middle and one by the hand... Then one point you will concentrate on to help any problem at all with your feet is the one by the hand... which represents the feet... whenever the feet hurt, that point will also hurt and have tiny crystals in it... rub and massage until the pain goes away, as hard as you want... and watch your foot pain get better and better... Remember also to drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of fresh water every day... Super important to rid your body of toxins causing much of your pains... you need to flush that body and nothing else will do... just water!!! Take care and good health to you!!!
- I'm afraid not. You're numb because you're pinching off a nerve. Nerves carry pain messages from both muscle and bone. Unless you know exactly which nerve your pinching, you can't target the pain.
- Amputation is your recourse.
