- the best i can share with you is to try applying anticeptic gel to your body to relieve those muscle pains. i tried it and it worked for me. also ask your personal trainer for some practical advice as well.
- I use a energy bar called Access and do not get sore muscles. Plus you burn more fat.
- Muscle pain can be a result from not stretching after and before a workout. I work out 3x a week (which is recommended) and never have muscle soreness, although I work my muscles to fatigue during the weight training. A full body stretch 5 minutes before training and 10 minutes after will avoid muscle pain the next day. Here is a site with demos and a full body stretch routine: http://www.womensheartfoundation.org/content/Exercise/stretching_exercise.asp Make sure that you are weight training/strength training every other day so your muscles have time to build after tearing. If you are weight training every day make sure it is not the same muscles! For instance arm strength monday- leg tuesday-core wednesday-arm thursday- leg friday- core (sit-ups, bridge ups etc) saturday etc etc.. Here is a great fitness routine with information about weight training and reps etc : Increases in muscle size and strength don’t occur while you’re training, they occur during the rest period between workouts. This is when your muscles recover and rebuild, gradually becoming bigger and stronger. The recovery process takes at least 48 hours. For this reason, strength training sessions should be scheduled no more frequently than every other day. If you prefer to train more often, you should avoid hitting the same muscle group on consecutive day. From -http://www.primusweb.com/fitnesspartner/library/activity/trainbasics.htm Good luck!
