Should I see a doctor for muscle pain in my back?
For several months I get pain in my upper back/neck/shoulder muscles. I'm sure it's from my posture from sitting at work all day, but no sitting position I try helps. I've had massages and they don't help either. I can't live like this everyday, but is muscle pain something a doctor can do anything about?

- Upper back pain usually has a lot to do with tension. However, since you said that you have tried massage and it has not relived you, then more than likely you have some inflammation in there. Go see your doctor but, the first thing most doctors will do is want to write you prescriptions for drugs. I do not recommend that. Here is some information you can look at to see if a natural option is best for you..
- I recommended you get a Deep Tissue Massage. The right therapist should know how to do that. Also will take couple sessions of Deep Tissue Massage to release all the tightness..
- Going to the doctor for muscle pains may not be the smartest way to go, as determined by the Doctors themselves. See: http://vancouvermassage.ca/disclaimer.php to understand what I mean. As others have stated, a good massage therapist might be what you need.
