What is the best muscle pain relief medicine?

For severe leg muscle pains, strains and pulls? Bengay, IcyHot, Mineral Ice.... they don't do anything for the pain. Is there something out there that definitely kills severe muscle pain?

1. When my Fibro acts up ... patches don't touch the pain. I usually have to take pain killers. Darvocet, Lortab, Vicodin ... depending on the pain.
2. I don't get injured much, but when I experience some muscle pains, I usually just get a bucket full of ice and draw a tub full of cold water, then dip myself in it. It usually works for me anyways, although its sort of unpleasant at first. I normally don't use medicine, but I would recommend you going to a doctor to see which medicine is best. Your doctor may be able to prescribe you a stronger medicine than over the counter medicines.
3. For OTC remedies, i love Naproxen (Alleve).
4. this may be something you would like to see your Dr about. I have used a RX drug called SOMA it has a muscle relaxer and a pain killer in it it works great for me I have allot of muscle pain and spasms in my neck . you may look it up here www.healthsquare.com
