Joint Pain

Can a sore back be something more then muscle pain?

Boyfriend has been having pain that feels like muscle pain for a few weeks now. It turns off and on it seems. Somedays its worse then other days and then it will appear to be getting better then it will be bad again. It's on the lower right side of his back. Could this be something on the inside besides muscle pain?

  1. Sounds like a probably brain tumor to me.
  2. Yup.
  3. Could be kidney problems or constipation.
  4. kidneys
  5. A pinched nerve.
  6. Who knows You might have torn a muscle
  7. Pinched nerve, disc problems or infection of kidneys, gall stones, etc. He should get it checked out. Doc will probably order an ultra sound depending on location.
  8. If it's lower back and feels like a muscle pain it could be a kidney infection. Back problems can be very serious though, if it's closer to the spine it could be a slipped disc. I would go to the doctor just to be sure everything's okay.
  9. he could have pulled a muscle . Sounds like it . best to send him to the doctor to have it checked out before the pain becomes chronic
  10. prob not. he just keeps injuring himself. when it hurts again have him put ice on it for 20 mins on and then off. keep doing that. and have him wear a back brace for a bit. until it gets stronger. when he is feeling good have him do sit ups to strenghtan his mid section. then his back should improve with time. once you hurt your back its hard to get it strong again. ugh and OUCH
  11. slipped disc, bruised tailbone. c a doctor or chiropractor.
  12. It could be pressure on the lower spine. To much weight causes stress on the disks and nerve pressure. Losing the weight will help alot.
  13. Well, if it's really a big problem, he should see a doctor or chiropractor. It could be any number of things; a torn muscle, a strained or sprained muscle, a slipped disc, a pinched nerve. There's no way to know for sure without seeing a doctor and finding out what it is, and what can be done to fix it.
