Is it normal after keyhole Gallbladder removal to have such bad muscle pain?
I had surgery last Weds and three of the four incisions are ok but the fourth (one central under ribs) is so painful when I cough or sneeze. It almost feels like a trapped muscle as the pain can be unbearable.

- some people have different changes with there body it's different for any people
- I had same surgery. There will be some internal swelling under sutures - but I don't think your pain sounds "normal". I would call the doctor.
- It is normal when I had mine done I couldnt stand up at all for a few weeks so I had to use a wheelchair very very painful
- My mum had that done a good few months ago, but when she first had it done it was very painful and she couldn't stand,(due to the op obviously) but i don't think she let it heal properly coz she went straight back to work and she is still having pain to this day, she says it is worse than the original pain she was having before the op, hope yours gets better though!! x
- I had lap gall bladder removal 2 mths ago and had 4 incisions the largest under my tummy button which still feels raw to the touch docs said takes at least 6 months to heal properly on outside and 2 yrs internally. I also still have a deep pain under my right shoulder blade which my GP says is linked to the operation (when air is blown in to body) but I worried about it for that long that I was diagnosed with anxiety and now have severe muscular tension in my upper back that I have to see a physio for - some days I cannot lift my 2 year old child up - my point is not to worry as it sounds normal and you may only make yourself worse like me.
