is accupuncture and accupressure are helpful in curing osteoarthritis or relieving pain?

  1. Twenty hours and still no answers? wow Accupuncture is generally very good at alleviating pain and I can attest to that myself. It often takes several sessions weekly to see good results. Sometimes when someone doesn't find an immediate significant relief the first time they quit not believing it is really doing anything. I even have myself only to realize a week or two later that it really was helping alot. So, yes, I would say that it should. Now, obviously I can't guarantee that but I have been getting accupuncture off and on for years for various reasons and it has never failed to help in some way or another. As for CURING osteoarthritis I don't believe that is something that can happen, unfortunately. I do know of someone who went from being in a wheelchair unable to to even look forward go to being able to walk and stand and being much straighter. The bad part is that I don't know what it was that helped her. If you are open to other alternative options I would consider trying energy work, specifically reiki. It is absolutely amazing. Reiki is known as 'life force energy', quite literally. The interesting thing about reiki is that the energy isn't sent to you but rather it is drawn from you through the person who is doing it. I hope I didn't just make it sound really creepy, lol. ie. A person can't take the energy and 'tell it what to do'. Rather, it works where it knows it is most needed. In other words, it may impact you in a way you weren't expecting. For example, a young woman was brought in by her mother due to having pain and trouble with her leg due to an auto accident a year before. A week later the mother commented that 'it didn't help the leg but, I have my daughter back'. Reiki is subtle yet profound and so is accupuncture. Well, okay, maybe accupuncture isn't quite so subtle, lol. I frequently will be at home after a session of accupuncture and be thinking 'now, how did he do that?' Whenever I have gone for reiki I find that all the pain somehow just melts away. Another great thing about reiki is that if you find it helpful you can even learn how to do it yourself! I can't speak personally for accupressure as that is something I have never tried. I can tell you, however, that accupunture is not painful nor as scary as it looks :- ) Whatever you decide I hope that it works well for you. Being in chronic pain is not fun, I understand myself. There are options that can help. Hopefully, you can find one that works well for you. Good luck to you and keep trying! Thank You
  2. Accupuncture or pressure will help only to reduce the pain and not to cure the osteoarthritis. There is no cure for osteoarthritis. Only the nerves and muscle can be strengthened. with regular youg and exercise, you will get lots of relief. start taking Noni herbal fruit jucie twice a day for about six months. It will help you a lot.
