Joint Pain

What can I do to reduce joint pain?

I am 25 and have very sore joints, particularly in my shoulders. I have been tested for everything my doctor could think of (including arthritis and allergies) and everything came back negative. I take cod liver oil and a multi vitamin every day but still have pain. I have found aerobics has greatly increased the joint movement and I work out about 4 times a week but there is still a great deal of pain. What can I do to reduce the pain, am I doing something wrong?

  1. Amputate!
  2. glucosamine vitamins with chondroitin are good for joints.
  3. EAT FRESH HEALTHY FOOD. REGULAR EXERCISE. --and a happy heart... all pain will reduce if you have all of these...
  4. I feel so sorry for you and cant understand why your doctor cant help.Have you tried a Chiropractor. My friends swear by them.
  5. Get a referral to a physiotherapist. I had a problem with my left shoulder joint and after getting a few exercises to practice my shoulder is a lot better.
  6. See if a doctor will give you a cortisone shot, that may help. It will also hurt.
  7. Cod liver oil .... tastes awful but normally does the job ..
  8. hot water bottle and see a physio. i had a stoop like groucho marks too many years labouring and he cracked my whole spine i was able to stand straight again. they know what they're doing book yourself in for a physio session
  9. Apparently msm is good for sore joints.. u can get it at any health store, well mostly.. i´m gratefull i don´t suffer in that way as i´m quite active, but this is what i´m told... maybe you should scrutinise your diet as something maybe de-hydrating you!
  10. a friend of mine had something similar, diagnosed as a sort of m.s but not as threatening, he was advised to get to a warm climate, so he upped and left for spain has been there a yr, still gets it , but not half as bad as in the uk......
  11. I also have shoulder pain, i had a xray and it showed a slight twist in my neck which causes all of the pain in my shoulder i exercises the muscle by holding my head sideways to the opposite side to the pain and then i exercise my arm/shoulder by lifting it up and down as high as possible and rotate it as far as i can. i do this for about 10 minutes a day and this seems to loosen it. try not to do any weights with your arms as it tightens the muscle and makes it more pain full try and get an appointment with a physio heat packs also work quite well to relieve the pain good luck
  12. I have professionally that type of pain. The good help for me are Dead Sea salt hot bath (if i don't have dead Sea salt sea salt will do is well) Couple of times per week is enough. turpentine oil and massage. i was doing some research on that topic and found that first of all it's good to check liver, do some detox, and after that concentrate on the blood flow. Capillary are first ones who signals about some trouble. if they don't supply enough vitality around so it possible that's the problem
  13. Gues this is a question that would fit an anser better from a Doc. anyway... let me just give a try... We usually get joint pains for various reasons: When we are too tired Improper diet Hereditery When we are running low on Calcium, low BP, etc. The nature of our works, sitting positions. Some Solutions: Drink lot of fresh juices Eat Calcium tablets regularly Take Soy foodstuff Eat healthy food Cook and eat cold water fishes .......for weak bones, the soup made out of goat's leg is the best, whether someone likes it or not, believes it or not. For continous problems as this, I would consult at least 2 or 3 doctors and then go for a test or whatever. I don't know about Scotland, but it's not so expensive in India for just a consultation :) Hope you recover soon.
  14. Take cod liver oil tablets
  15. Glucosamine, Chondrotin, and Alfalfa are excellent for joints and bone health! Good Luck!
  16. carry on taking the cod liver oil and vitamins and get active with non compounding exercise such as biking as you get more flexible your joints will get better
  17. Try yoga - Gentle Hatha would be good, or Iyengar as the teachers are required to know a lot. Glucosamine works for my husband.

  19. it sounds like you might have early stages of something called Fibromyalgia, which is a very hard thing to diagnose.i was also tested for various diseases and everything came back negative.then i saw a rheumatlologist who finally diagnosed me.
  20. I have regular Cortisone injections in my shoulder but its good for two months or so but i cant keep having Cortisone because its dangerous Xrays show arthritis but thats it, nothing can cure it. so you press on
  21. corral calcium. If you smoke, stop, and if you drink caffeine, stop or drink less.
  22. that could be arthritis. avoid eating beans and nuts. also avoid fatty foods.
  23. Joint pain or stiffness of the joint may be caused by overexertion, injuries, muscle pain, bursitis and other diseases. Depending on the cause of the joint pain, joints on both sides of the body and small or large joints may be affected. Some types of joint pains can be completely cured but for other types, treatment will only reduce the pain.More information on joint pain, home remedies and treatment is available at http://tinyurl.com/z5vx5
  24. HI THERE,,REDUCE WIEIGHT,,,LOADS OF VEG,,B.B.HEALTHY DIET..JUST DRINK RED WINE,,BE HAPPY
  25. You could be suffering from Fibromyalgia. This can cause aching joints and stiffness without arthritis being present.People suffering from this condition are often advised to take up some form of aerobic activity which is why you get some relief whilst doing it.However the pains will return again as soon as you stop.
  26. don't take cod liver oil it contains to much vitamin A that builds up in you're body, better fish oil Don't work out that much either it isn't good for you(and wait til you feel better first ) only normal movement like walking Try a Chinese massage it might be an blocked muscle You having a lot of stress/worries? if yes reduce that (relax etc) You eating healthy?Miltie vitamines only work with the right healthy food. you drink enough water could be toxins building up How is you're posture, is you're bed alright
